Hue

The pure color attribute of a pixel, measured as a position on the color wheel from 0° to 360°.

Hue represents the fundamental color identity independent of brightness or saturation. Red occupies 0°, green sits at 120°, and blue at 240°, with all intermediate colors distributed around the wheel. In photo editing, hue adjustments allow photographers to shift entire color families — turning autumn reds to oranges, or shifting cyan skies toward deeper blue. Selective hue adjustment targets specific color ranges while leaving others untouched, enabling precise creative control. Magic Eraser's AI Filter tool applies intelligent hue adjustments as part of its style transfer capabilities, automatically optimizing color relationships to produce visually cohesive results.
