✓Photograph cosmetics under a daylight-balanced light source (5500K). Warm tungsten or cool LED lights create color casts that the template corrects, but starting with daylight-balanced light produces the most accurate swatch colors in the final output.
✓Include both packaging-closed and packaging-open photos. Buyers want to see the branded packaging and the actual product color — a lipstick bullet, an eyeshadow palette open to show all shades, or a cream jar with the lid off showing the product texture.
