The leash removal is most convincing when you brush precisely along the leash line without including too much surrounding area. For a thin leash against a simple background (grass, sky), the result is virtually invisible. For thick leashes or harness straps crossing the dog's body, the AI reconstructs the fur texture — the more fur visible around the strap, the better the reference for reconstruction. Retractable leash cords are very thin and remove easily. Harness removal is more complex because multiple straps cross the chest and back — process each strap individually for the cleanest result. If the leash casts a shadow on the ground or on the dog, include the shadow in your brush selection. For photos where a human hand is visible holding the leash, removing the leash may leave the hand in an awkward grip position — consider cropping or removing the hand as well. Collar tags that jingle and catch light can also be removed with a small brush over each tag.
