Dynamic Range
The ratio between the brightest and darkest areas that a camera sensor or display can capture or reproduce.
Dynamic range determines how much detail is preserved in both highlights and shadows. Cameras with wider dynamic range capture more detail across bright and dark areas. In post-processing, expanding apparent dynamic range through AI enhancement reveals shadow detail and recovers highlights, making images look more natural to the human eye.
