• ✓Include both packaging-closed and packaging-open photos. Buyers want to see the branded packaging and the actual product color — a lipstick bullet, an eyeshadow palette open to show all shades, or a cream jar with the lid off showing the product texture.
• ✓For swatch photos on skin, photograph on a neutral background and ensure the skin is clean and unlotion-ed. The template enhances swatch color visibility while maintaining natural skin tone in the background, which helps buyers imagine the color on their own skin.
• ✓Clean all packaging with a lint-free cloth before shooting. Cosmetics packaging collects fingerprints and dust easily, and while the template removes these, starting clean preserves more of the original surface detail in the processed image.
