Adjustable DPI
Set the output resolution from 72 DPI for screen use up to 300 DPI for print-quality images. Higher DPI produces sharper text and graphics at the cost of larger file sizes.

JPEG and PNG output
Choose JPEG for smaller files with adjustable compression or PNG for lossless quality with transparency support. Switch between formats and see the estimated file size before downloading.

Common questions
What DPI should I use?
+
Use 72 DPI for web and screen display, 150 DPI for general-purpose use, and 300 DPI for printing. Higher DPI settings produce larger files but capture finer detail in text and graphics.
Can I convert password-protected PDFs?
+
The tool can open PDFs that have an owner password restricting printing or copying, but it cannot open files that require a user password to view. Remove the password in your PDF reader first if the document is encrypted.
Will the text in the images be searchable?
+
No. Converting a PDF to an image rasterizes the text, so it is no longer selectable or searchable. If you need searchable text, keep the original PDF alongside the images.
Extracted images look blurry?
AI Enhance can upscale and sharpen PDF page images after conversion. Get print-ready quality even from low-resolution source documents.
