Features

1

Custom grid dimensions

Set any combination of rows and columns from 2x2 up to 10x10. The tool divides the image evenly and shows a grid overlay so you can see exactly where each cut falls.

2

Instagram grid presets

One-click presets for popular Instagram grid layouts: 3x1 horizontal panorama, 3x3 nine-tile grid, and 1x3 vertical triptych. Each preset numbers the tiles in the correct upload order.

3

Grid preview overlay

Before splitting, a semi-transparent grid overlays your image so you can see how the composition falls across tiles. Adjust rows and columns until the grid looks right.

4

Numbered ZIP download

Download all tiles as a ZIP file. Each tile is numbered sequentially — row by row, left to right — so you can upload them in the correct order on any platform.

How to use

1

Upload an image

Drag a JPEG, PNG, or WebP file into the tool. The full image loads into the preview canvas.

2

Set the grid

3

Split and download

Click split and download the numbered tiles as a ZIP file. Each tile is a separate image ready to use.

Common questions

What grid size should I use for an Instagram grid?

+

The most popular Instagram grid is 3 columns by 3 rows, which creates a 9-tile square mosaic on your profile. For a horizontal panorama, use 3 columns by 1 row. Upload the tiles from bottom-right to top-left so they appear in the correct order.

Can I split an image into unequal sections?

+

This tool divides the image into equal tiles. For custom, unequal cuts you would need to crop each section manually. The equal-grid approach ensures every tile has the same dimensions, which is required for most grid layouts.

Does splitting reduce image quality?

+

No. Each tile is a lossless crop of the original pixels. The image data is not re-compressed when output as PNG. For JPEG output, the tool uses high-quality compression settings.

Need a higher-resolution source image?

AI Enhance can upscale your image before splitting so each tile has enough resolution for a crisp display on any screen. Upscale first, split second.
