Add custom borders and frames to any image

Upload a photo and wrap it in a clean solid border or gallery-style mat. Pick the border color, padding background, and dimensions, or start from quick presets for common white mat, black keyline, and soft gallery-frame looks before downloading the final image.

How to use

1

Upload an image

Drag a JPEG, PNG, or WebP file into the tool. The original image appears in the center of the preview canvas.

2

Choose border style

Select a preset or choose border and padding colors. Set the border width and optional padding.

3

Fine-tune the look

Check the output dimensions, adjust spacing and colors, and preview the result before export.

4

Download

Click download to save the bordered image as a PNG or JPEG. The output includes the border as part of the image canvas.

Features

1

Solid borders and mat backgrounds

Choose a border color with the picker and set a separate padding background for white mats, colored frames, and simple social post outlines.

2

Adjustable width and padding

Set the border width from 0 to 200 pixels. Add inner padding to create space between the image edge and the border while the output size updates before export.

3

Quick frame presets

Start with Clean white mat, Social black keyline, or Soft gallery frame presets, then fine-tune the widths and colors.

4

Local preview and download

The preview and export run in your browser with Canvas, so the original file does not need to be uploaded to a server.

Common questions

Will adding a border change the image dimensions?

+

Yes. The border is added around the original image, so the output canvas is larger by twice the border width on each axis. The original image pixels remain untouched inside the border.

Can I set different widths on each side?

+

Not yet. This version applies one border width and one padding value on all sides so the frame stays even.

Do the quick presets change my image pixels?

+

No. Presets only change border width, padding, and colors around the image. The original pixels are drawn unchanged inside the new canvas.

Photo quality not quite right?

AI Enhance can improve sharpness, color, and lighting before you add the border. Start with a great photo and the framed result will look even better.
